EBSCO  - This database provides access to full-text magazine articles and more.  See your friendly librarian for a User I.D. and Password.

 

Refseek - This web search engine for students and researchers aims to make academic information easily accessible to everyone. RefSeek searches more than one billion documents, including web pages, books, encyclopedias, journals, and newspapers.

 

Awesome Stories - A database of primary source information such as maps, pictures, artifacts, manuscripts and documents.  See your librarian for the login and password to this site.

 

Sweet Search - A search engine for students.  Every recommended website has been evaluated by expert researchers. 

 

Basalt Regional Library - Check out what your public library has for teens.  Its Teen web page offers reading recommendations, events and employment opportunities.  Its 24 Hour service offers many online databases.  You must have a library card to access these databases.  See your librarian about getting a card.

 

Online Encyclopedias:

 

          Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia - This is an encyclopedia accessed through EBSCO so the login for EBSCO must be entered.  The librarian can

         give you the login information.

 

Wikipedia (Be cautious when using Wikipedia!) Verify the information you find ANYWHERE on Wikipedia with other sources.  Wikipedia can be useful when starting a research project for introductory and bibliographic information.  Top 10 reasons you should NOT cite Wikipedia.
